DEBI TONG GRAY is an avid proponent of creating as a form of play. Her mottos are “Keep it simple” and “If you’re not having fun, why bother." She enjoys exploring relationships among a variety of textures, colors, and forms and the challenge of making material her vision of a truly “wearable," harmonious whole from these combinations. For her, it’s the journey to that point that’s the fun!

Debi has displayed her wallhangings throughout the country, has taught both quilting and artwear classes on the East and West Coasts, and has created commissioned pieces. Her work has been published in Quilters’ Newsletter Magazine, Quilting Quarterly, and Bead and Button. Her one-of-a-kind creations are found in private collections and have been sold in gallery stores in New York, Connecticut, and Northern Virginia.
